Established in 2017 and incorporated in 2021 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990, we have been at the forefront of delivering impactful and sustainable solutions across our thematic areas

Meet our Founder

Born in Nigeria, into the family of Architect David I. Umah and Mrs Sarah Hembadoon Umah in Agedam, Gboko local government of Benue State. Today, she is married to the very distinguished Comrade Dr. Ibrahim P. Alih (PhD) and the union is blessed with three lovely children.

Jennifer Hembafan Alih is a multifaceted force to be reckoned with. With a stellar educational background boasting a Master’s in Educational Administration and Planning (from the National Open University of Nigeria) alongside a bachelor degree in Agricultural Technology (from the Federal University of Technology, Minna), Jennifer is a powerhouse in academia. Currently, she serves as a dedicated civil servant at the esteemed National Open University of Nigeria while simultaneously steering the ship of two thriving businesses—Hembafan’s Affordable Boutique and the innovative Jennifer Alih Concept (a furniture and interior decoration company). Her journey is a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to service.

Beyond her professional and entrepreneurial pursuits, Jennifer is a fervent advocate for leadership and empowerment. She holds esteemed memberships and fellowships in various organizations, including the Mountain of fire and miracles ministries in Nigeria, Nigerian Red Cross, Mindshift empowerment and Employment initiative (MEEI program) in Turkey, the National Fedvosa 06 in Nigeria, and the Cal Initiative in the United Kingdom, the 1808 foundation in the United Kingdom, The Nelson Mandela Washington YALI fellowship in America among others.

Yet, Jennifer’s true passion lies in making a difference in the lives of others. She is the visionary founder of the Julebrama Women and Children Initiative (JUWACI), a beacon of hope for vulnerable communities and families. JUWACI is an ngo that prides in the promotion of gender equality and social justice for women and children. Through JUWACI, Jennifer has touched the lives of over 9,877 individuals across 21 communities, spearheading 58 impactful projects and empowering communities and individuals through education, climate action, and livelihood support for over 10years. Her relentless dedication to humanitarian efforts has garnered both local and international acclaim, earning her 22 recognition awards for her exemplary leadership and philanthropic endeavors, she was recently awarded and coronated with the honour of the Chieftaincy title as the OJAMALIA ODAH of the ODAHOJIJI kingdom of Imane, Kogi State.

Her leadership roles exemplify her unwavering commitment to serving humanity, echoing the timeless wisdom of Proverbs 19:17, which underscores the importance of generosity and kindness.

Jennifer’s resilience and versatility knows no bounds. Jennifer is a wife, a mother, motivational speaker, licensed teacher, a farmer, first aider, a humanitarian, a women and children advocate, an activist for persons with disabilities, an educator, a first aid trainer, and a singer/songwriter and stirs all these responsibilities effortlessly.

Jennifer Hembafan Alih continues to inspire and uplift countless souls. Her life embodies the values of compassion, honesty, transparency, and accountability, serving as a guiding light for those striving to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Hassana Mohammed Bunu is a dynamic leader, educator, and advocate in the disability community. She has served as the Woman Leader in the Borno State Chapter of the National Association of Persons with Disabilities, as well as President of the Nigerian Disability Youth Forum.

Arc. David Ityohemba

Technical Member of trustees

Arc. David Ityohemba is a seasoned architect and dedicated community leader with a strong foundation in architecture and technical expertise, developed through extensive studies and hands-on experience. He attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan, completing his studies in architecture between 1975 and 1978, and he holds additional educational experiences from the University of Ibadan and the Commonwealth College of Commerce, Jos.

Bootcamp For Girls in IDP'S

JUWACI is proud to announce the organization of a special bootcamp tailored for girls living in IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camps.
